Wow!! This book is fabulous! It looks devine, my pictures don’t do this beautiful book justice. I love the image, the lettering is fabulously glittery. I absolutely love it, and it fits perfectly with my image of Crystal, a fabulous, flamboyant, full blown superstar!
‘I had to escape.
I opened the door, ready to make a dash for the stairs, but before I could, the water flooded out ahead of me, through the doorway, carrying with it my giant poo, right into the packed restaurant.’
This book follows the life of Crystal who is a gender-neutral drag queen extraordinaire. We follow a year, through the entries into their diary. This book is laugh out loud funny! Not many books make me belly laugh, but this one did!

This book is also heart wrenching as we learn of the day to day struggles of someone who is considered ‘different‘, I cried along with these sections of the book! 😭
‘As queer people, our lives are a fight and a continual cycle of forgiveness against those who attack and oppress us’
I give this book 5* and thank Crystal for a beautifully insightful, thought provoking, hysterical journey through their life! Big thank you to Netgalley, Tom and Rebecca at EBury Publishing for my copy of this book, in retun for an honest review #netgalley #gaypride #LGBTQIA+ #diaryofadragqueen #eburypublishing
